Bodog.com Will Sponsor the Triple Crown With $5 Million

In San Jose, Costa Rica, the online gaming giant Bodog.com declared today that it has extended an offer to Triple Crown Productions, LLC to use the $5-million prize for the owner of the horse that will all three races of the Triple Crown.

The very generous offer was presented to Triple Crown Productions, LLC the week before, and it comes on exactly on time because there are news that, horse racing's Triple Crown will be run without a premier sponsor for the first time in nearly 20 years. And with the lack of a sponsor to put up the money, it is more than likely that there will not be a $5-million bonus for winning the Triple Crown title.

"Every contestant has dreamed of winning all of the races, because it is a very important title" declared Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "Bodog.com would be very honored to play a part in ensuring that one of the sport's greatest and rarest prizes is kept intact."

The Triple Crown is horse racing's most prestigious and important racing competition series. There are always an estimated 25 million fans in the US alone not to mention the other fans from the globe, which will tune into the "most thrilling two minutes in sports".

The first leg of the Triple Crown, is the 132nd Kentucky Derby at Louisville's Churchill Downs. The 131st Preakness Stakes is at Pimlico Racecourse in Baltimore, and the 138th Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park in Long Island, in N.Y., rounds out the Triple Crown.
